Of course, the Sun will eventually begin to die, and in-so-doing it will cool, and expand - and when it does it will incinerate Earth and many of the other planets in our solar system.  Then, one day (bearing in mind of course that the concept of “a day” will itself no longer exist, irreversibly altered as it will be by the Sun’s demise), in its own cosmic enactment of “ashes to ashes, dust to dust,” the Sun will explode, thus completing its lifecycle and perhaps rendering the space it occupied fertile for new star growth.  This process will result in the destruction of the remnants of our solar system.

The Sun may never say the words “You owe me,” but damn if it isn’t gonna collect…
